Dr. Adam W. Palmer, D.C., C.C.I.C - Our founder

Dr. Palmer is a 1997 graduate of New York Chiropractic College. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Virginia Medical Board. He began practice in Altavista, Virginia in 1998.

A second office in Lynchburg was opened in 2000 to meet the needs of patients that had been driving from Lynchburg to Altavista. Dr. Palmer's unique practice style combining deep tissue massage, chiropractic manipulation, Cox Distraction Technique, Dry Needle Therapy, and home exercise has patients driving from as far away as Harrisonburg to see him.

Dr. Palmer and his wife Melissa have two daughters and many pets. In addition to his family, his interests include coaching soccer, biking, photography, and remodeling.

Dr. Jeffrey N. Lowes - A partner at Palmer Chiropractic Center

Dr. Jeffrey Lowes, a partner at Palmer Chiropractic Center of Lynchburg, has a passion for providing quality integrated patient care with other local healthcare providers in reducing pain and restoring optimal motion.

He is the official team chiropractor and a member of the Liberty University Sports Medicine team since 2005.


He enjoys spending time treating other local professional, college, and high school athletes in conjunction with their personal / athletic trainers.

Dr. Lowes enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. When he is not with his family, Dr. Lowes stays active playing ice hockey, golf, tennis, and working out


Dr. Lowes has a passion for education and is an Associate Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Liberty University teaching courses in Exercise Physiology, Human Movement, Motor Learning, and Exercise Leadership since 2011.


Dr. Lowes is committed to an evidence-based practice which hinges on incorporating the most effective soft tissue techniques, gentle manipulation, and a corrective exercise prescription. All treatment plans are patient specific in an attempt to get all his patients back to optimal function.


Dr. Lowes attended Liberty University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, with a minor in Chemistry. He then completed his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree at New York Chiropractic College graduating with honors. During his internship, Dr. Lowes had the opportunity to treat patients at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY and also studied elite athletic performance at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Dr. Palmer has a special interest in treating whiplash, disc conditions, spinal arthritic pain, and headaches. He has been certified and using Cox Distraction Technique since 1997 which is used to treat disc bulges and some spinal degenerative related conditions.


Dr. Palmer obtained his Spine Research Institute of San Diego's advanced course of study in the diagnosis and clinical management of cervical acceleration / deceleration trauma and whiplash-related temporomandibular joint disorders certification in 2001.


In 2014, Dr. Palmer also becomes a Certified Chiropractic Insurance Consultant, C.C.I.C., allowing him to perform Independent medical exams and perform file reviews for the insurance industry as well as plaintiff attorneys involved in motor vehicle crash cases.
